The Parable of the Second Arrow

Our speaker on Sunday October 4 will be sangha member Leslie Irvine. Leslie has practiced with Prairie Mountain Zen Center for a decade. She is Professor of Sociology and Director of the Animals and Society Certificate Program at the University of Colorado Boulder. Leslie will talk on the parable of the second arrow. This teaching from the time of the Buddha addresses our reactions to suffering and how we might respond to it more skillfully.
